The NOW Foodie Issue is set to start serving visitors at more than 170 key distribution points across the D.C. metro area this December.
What’s inside? The NOW Foodie Issue will possess an in-depth look at the hottest restaurants and include special sections such as: Chef Spotlights, highlights of local wineries’ best and boldest wines, Cook it NOW: Favorite D.C. recipes, reviews and much more. This fresh, insider’s approach to the NOW Visitor Guides is lead by a new editor, Danny Harris. Danny is a former analyst with the US Treasury Department where he helped fight against terrorist financing efforts, turned D.C.-based storyteller and folklorist. In September 2009, he launched People’s District (www.peoplesdistrict.com), a website that aims to share the incredible diversity of stories from around the District. The Washington Post calls him “a modern day Studs Turkel” and his work has been featured in, among others, the New York Times, NPR, and in other local, national, and international publications. The team at NOW Guides is thrilled to welcome such a bright, talented and creative member to their team.
